A List of Chromebook Shortcuts

I keep finding myself needing to look up keyboard shortcuts for my Chromebook. So I've decided to start building my list here under Consumer Bits. My ONLY real complaint about this beast is that it won't let you install anything, It has to be a Google app... or "cloud" app or whatever you want to call the internet. (2019 UPDATE: Things are changing and now Chromebooks can run a lot of different apps that any MS laptop can run!)

Note 1: The 'Search' key has a small, dark grey circle on it* and is located just above the left shift key.*

Note 2: I've noticed that when I deploy an old shortcut key combo, my CB shows me that this shortcut has changed and tells you the new one.*

*On my Chromebook that is.

Chromebook Keyboard Shortcuts:

Go to Beginning of Document = Ctrl Search ‘left arrow’

BOOKMARK = Ctrl D
BOOKMARK All Pages = Ctrl Shift D
BOOKMARKS Bar, Focus = ALt Shift B (Use arrows to select)
BOOKMARKS Bar, Toggle = Ctrl Shift B

Turning on CAPS Lock = ALT Search

Open the Chrome Menu (UR corner menu) = Alt E or Alt F
Close Current TAB = Ctrl W
Close Current WINDOW = Ctrl Shift W
Copy = Ctrl C
Cut = Ctrl X

DELETE key emulation = Alt Backspace
DELETE forward = Alt Backspace
Delete Next Letter = Alt Backspace
Delete Previous Word = Ctrl Backspace

Web page DEVELOPER Tools  = Ctrl Shift I
DOM Inspector = Ctrl Shift J
DOWNLOADS page, Open = Ctrl J

END key emulation= Ctrl Alt ‘down arrow’
End of Document = Ctrl Search ‘right arrow’

Emulate the F-keys = ‘search key’ (the magnifying glass symbol) + 1-12
Files App, Open = Alt Shift M
FIND on page = Ctrl F
FIND next match = Ctrl G or Enter
FIND prev match = Ctrl Shift G or Shift Enter
Forward delete = Alt-Backpsace

Help Center = Ctrl ?
Show Hidden Files = Ctrl .
HISTORY, Open = Ctrl H
Go to HOME = Ctrl Alt ‘up arrow’
