Don't Rest on Your Laurels - A Thought

Respect what has happened in the past by taking note and learning from it.
But regardless, don't confuse the past with the present nor seek in it the ideals of the future. 
You're only as good as your last act or deed and the farther in the past your last deed becomes, the less credibility you retain from it.
